Question 1

How is Amity different from LinkedIn?

Accepted Answer

Amity starts where LinkedIn stops. LinkedIn is a database of passive contacts, but Amity is a matchmaker for people you can truly rely on. Every introduction is curated around mutual value, never random.

Question 2

What if I'm too junior to use Amity?

Accepted Answer

We match based on mutual benefit, not seniority. Whether you're seeking mentorship, offering fresh perspective, or have complementary skills, there's a match for you.

Question 3

Is Amity worth my time?

Accepted Answer

Amity was built to solve exactly this problem: you should not waste time on random meetups, but you should still connect intentionally. The Amity profile setup takes four minutes, and from there you only meet people who genuinely matter to you and to your counterpart. You also decide your pace, and most users meet two to three new people per month.

Question 4

How does Amity protect my privacy?

Accepted Answer

Every account is tied to an email address its owner has confirmed. We remove anyone who doesn't meet Amity's standards. Amity is a Swiss company; your data is hosted in the EU (Sweden) on Microsoft Azure, encrypted in transit and at rest, and handled under Swiss and EU data protection law. You approve every match first, there are no public profiles, and you can download or delete your data yourself in Settings at any time. We never sell your data.

Question 5

How good will my matches be when I first join?

Accepted Answer

Your initial matches come directly from your profile. After your first meetings, Amity improves as you improve and learns as you learn from others, so every next match becomes a better fit.

Question 6

What if I keep getting bad matches?

Accepted Answer

Rate each match and we'll refine your algorithm. Our system learns from your preferences. You can also update your profile anytime. If issues persist, our team reviews personally to optimize your matches.

Question 7

Can I choose who to meet on Amity?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We suggest matches, but you always have the final say. Review profiles, see why we matched you, and decide who to meet. You're in complete control of your connecting journey.

Question 8

What happens in the first Amity meeting?

Accepted Answer

We give you conversation starters and clear context on why you matched. You share your goals, learn about theirs, and explore where your interests align. No pressure, just an authentic conversation with purpose.

Question 9

Is Amity only for certain industries?

Accepted Answer

No. Amity is intentionally cross industry to give you access to diverse perspectives. You can meet people from finance, tech, consulting, startups, science and many other fields.

Question 10

Is Amity for companies too?

Accepted Answer
